Montana Tucker’s Oct. 7 film showcases young victims’ strength

(NewsNation) — Singer, dancer and influencer Montana Tucker‘s film, “The Children of October 7,” documents what some of the Oct. 7 attacks‘ youngest victims went through on that day.

“I hope they hear these children, hear their voices and hear their stories, and know that they were innocent children who had nothing to do with anything, and their lives are now forever changed, and they’re forever traumatized,” she said on “Elizabeth Vargas Reports.”

The activist shared seven victims’ stories on her social media platforms, including her Instagram, which has more than 3 million followers. She told NewsNation that, since the day of the attacks, she’s visited Israel four times to learn their stories.

“I always did dance videos and dance content with kids and children. And I always just feel like kids feel comfortable with me, and I feel comfortable with them. … Thankfully, these families felt comfortable sharing their stories with me,” Tucker said.

Tucker believes showcasing survivors’ strength and calling for hostage releases must be the focus moving forward.

“At the forefront of everything I do is to call for the release of the hostages, no matter what,” Tucker said. “Keep that at the forefront of the news, on social media, that these hostages, they need to come home.”

Israel says that Hamas is holding about 65 hostages and the remains of about 35 others either killed on Oct. 7, 2023 or who died in captivity.

Israel’s campaign in Gaza has killed more than 43,000 Palestinians, according to local health authorities who do not distinguish between civilians and militants in their count but say more than half the dead are women and children. Israel says it targets Hamas militants who hide among civilians.
