ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — The St. Petersburg Police Department launched an investigation Wednesday after a body was found in a body of water.
The discovery was made Wednesday morning off Bellair Drive Northeast, near the Renaissance Vinoy Golf Resort in St. Petersburg.
The person was described as a 72-year-old Black man. However, as of Wednesday morning, officials had not released his name. His cause of death also remained unclear.
Police said the man’s death was considered “suspicious.”
No further information was immediately available.
