MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is accused of attacking family members with a knife at Thanksgiving, sending one to a hospital, police say.

The victim told police that around 3 p.m., she and her mother were arguing at a house in the 200 block of Delta Road in Southwest Memphis. The argument was about her mother pushing her son, among other things.

That’s when the woman allegedly charged at the daughter with a knife she retrieved from the kitchen. She then struck the son with a knife, in the left hand near his thumb, according to police.

The suspect left the scene on foot wearing a red wig, and was last seen on Horn Lake Road before police picked her up at a home on Cazassa, several miles away. She was booked into jail.

The victim said her mother was drinking and possibly heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident.
