(NewsNation) — Nearly a week after Election Day, the balance of power in Congress lies fully in the Republican Party’s grasp. See the results of the presidential election here.

Two calls Monday — in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District and California’s 41st — landed the Republican Party 218 seats, securing the House majority for the GOP. While there were hundreds of races, just a tenth of the races were deemed competitive, according to the Cook Political Report.

Republicans captured the Senate on Election Day, ending their four-year stretch in the minority. The GOP’s leadership within the Senate will shift as longtime Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell announced earlier this year that he will step down as minority leader. Now, the search for a successor to McConnell begins.

A total of 34 U.S. Senate seats were determined during this election cycle, with Democrats and independents representing 23 of those races.

GOP lawmakers, like New York Rep. Mike Lawler, say they’re ready to hit the ground running to enact the new Trump agenda.

“At the end of the day, we’re gonna hold the majority and I think that speaks to the bigger point which is that the American people want us to act on the economy, on the border, on the international crises, on energy policy. And that’s what we’re going to do as soon as we get to Jan. 3, and Jan. 20, when the president is sworn in,” Lawler said.

Here’s where the balance of power in the House and Senate stands:
