MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was arrested after police say she robbed a tow truck driver of his vehicle at gunpoint to stop her car from being towed.

According to Memphis Police, on November 24, a tow truck driver was in the 1700 block of Chancery Street hooking up a 2018 GMC Terrain for it to be towed.

While he was taking pictures of the vehicle, he said a woman appeared with a gun and got into the driver’s side of his truck. The victim said the woman told him to back away from the car, which he did.

The woman then lowered her car and drove off in the tow truck. Another woman allegedly drove off in the GMC Terrain.

Police say the woman left the tow truck at the apartment complex’s entrance and also fled the area in her GMC Terrian.

The incident was caught on video by the apartment complex surveillance cameras and in-car video inside the tow truck.

Kelsey Green was taken into custody on Monday and charged with Aggravated Robbery. She is being held on a $75,000 bond.
